With the goal to develop and empower teachers while increasing gender awareness and sensitization, the HP Mentor A Teacher Program is a collaboration between HP, Girl Rising and 1 Million Teachers aimed at bringing inclusive content and curriculum to classrooms and education in Nigeria and beyond.

As a program beneficiary, The Sustainability Hub is organising a Gender Responsive Education Training, a series of four 2-hour weekly sessions for teachers in our network in March 2022. This program will equip teachers to deliver effective gender-responsive education to students.

The curriculum covers acknowledging social norms and power imbalances in the society and school community, addressing gender stereotypes and biases in teaching and learning, and exploring new practices that support the effective participation of girls and boys in learning processes.
